The management of, and accountability for, the environmental, social and economic aspects of our business require sound governance practices. At Zeta Compliance Group, our arrangements include a CR Committee with representatives drawn from across the Group and a network of employee ‘CR Champions’.
The CR Committee
The Committee’s seven members meet four times a year to agree policies, review progress against targets and set future objectives.
The Committee reports to the Senior Management Board and, in 2010/11, it was chaired by Rob Nicoll, CEO. Working with experts from around the business and our CR Champions (see below), the Committee is directly responsible for defining our CR strategy and activities, and monitoring our performance and ensuring the Group delivers on its CR targets. It also ensures that:
• our CR programme is aligned with our business objectives
• our CR activities are understood and promoted, both internally to employees and externally to other relevant audiences
• it provides strategic leadership for the business on corporate responsibility.
• responsible for the Group’s corporate responsibility reporting and communication.
CR Champions
Although robust governance processes are needed, CR is not something that can be achieved by committees alone; it needs the drive and commitment of everyone throughout the business.
To provide that all-important link between our CR Committee and the rest of the company, we have a network of CR Champions. These employees play a key role in communicating our ‘Purpose Beyond Profit’ vision and helping us to embed CR across the Group.
